Hey now!

An 80 year old woman was arrested for shop lifting.
When she went before the judge he asked her, "What did you steal?"
She replied, "A can of peaches."

The judge then asked her why she had stolen the can of peaches,
And she replied that she was hungry.
The judge then asked her how many peaches were in the can.
She replied, "6."

The judge said, "Then I will give you 6 days in jail."

Before the judge could conclude the trial, the woman's husband spoke... ...and asked the judge if he could say something.

The judge said, "What is it?"

The husband said, "She also stole a can of peas."

Lefty chickens out.....

Pay a 60% marginal tax rate and you have to say you are sorry about lamenting about it publically? Is this the same guy with the guts to hit a six iron from the pine straw on 13 at Augusta but not have the guts to stand up to the collectivists who are confiscating his hard earned money?

"I gotta have more cow bell".

The Wall Street Journal pokes fun at the Fed with the above expression from the skit on Saturday Night Live with Christopher Walken lampooning Blue Oyster Cult. They should say it about Obama and Government. Don't miss what the Obama advisor said to the press about the "opportunity" we have. Shocking in its condescension.

When the next crisis comes, you'll hear lamentations for the 1930s all over again.

Saying the repeal of Glass-Steagal caused the financial crisis of 2008 is a dead ringer showing a lack of depth of understanding.

100% correct.

If this happened to me I would transform into a butterfly and fly away.

The mind boggles at the frustration this man must feel. I once heard of a guy who lived in a swanky gated community and painted part of his house a color that was not approved of by the neighborhood association. So he repainted the offending trim but then painted a giant "eye ball" on the side of his house in the correct colors. He kept it for 6 months until the lawsuit made him remove it. I guess the neighbors didn't miss the message.

Debt ceiling nonsense.

I don't know when the Republicans in Congress are going to come to the realization that the debt limit pertains to things that have already been decided. If you choose to run a federal budget deficit, then by definition the national debt MUST go up. The fight should be over spending now and in the future and not raising the debt ceiling. That train has left the station for this fiscal year. Playing brinksmanship with the debt ceiling is a pernicious fool's errand.

Here's a little story about Chicago. It's all true.

I used to drive through the places he is talking about, but only rarely and never when the sun was set.

Don't forget to add Washington and Detroit to the list of progressive model cities.

Democracy in action...and it makes me sick.

I said it before and I will say it again. Our tax code is a political document and not an economic one. Give all these tax breaks and then talk about raising taxes to reduce the deficit and not letting the rich exploit loopholes. I may get a spoon and dig my ear drums out so I never have to listen to this crap again (tip o' the hat to Jefferey from long ago for that line).
