It's Halloween. Careful what you wish for there ole boy!

A cabbie picks up a Nun. She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring. He replies: 'I have a question to ask you but I don't want to offend you.'She answers, 'My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive.''Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me.' She responds, 'Well, let's see what we can do about that: #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic.'The cab driver is very excited and says, 'Yes, I'm single and Catholic!''OK' the nun says. 'Pull into the next alley.'The nun fulfills his fantasy, with a kiss that would make a hooker blush. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.'My dear child,' says the nun, 'why are you crying?''Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish.'The nun says, 'That's OK. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party.'

Senator Boxer, kill that bug up your butt...and call me Doctor.

This is a parody of a recent exchange Senator Boxer had with someone in the military.
It could have gone like this.....

This really happened.

Some Syrian dinks that wanted to hold an anti-American rally hired an ex-Army Sergeant to translate their protest slogans, you know, like "Death to America" and such. This is what they got instead.

Maxine. The one on the left, not right.

1 day of employment

So after landing my new job as a Wal-Mart greeter,
a good find for many retirees,
I lasted less than a day......
About two hours into my first day on the job a very loud,
unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into the store with her two kids,
Yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.
As I had been instructed, I said pleasantly, 'Good morning and welcome to Wal-Mart.
Nice children you have there. Are they twins?'
The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say,
'Hell no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7.
Why the hell would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or just stupid?'

So I replied,
'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am,
I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice.
Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.'
My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work.

R. I. P. D. C. Education reform

Nowhere is education reform needed more than Washington D.C. Nowhere is more money spent on education per student than Washington D.C. Nowhere is less received per dollar expenditure than in the D.C. school system. We keep churning out kids that know nothing and are unemployable, and those are the ones who graduate. And the president said nothing.....

Thought for today......

The message is clear: plan with attitude, prepare with aptitude, participate with servitude, receive with gratitude, and this should be enough to separate you from the multitudes.

Immigration for dummies.

Every foreign student who graduates from a US college or university, and I mean every one, should get a diploma and a green card on graduation day. Any scientist, engineer, or other advanced degree person who wishes to come to the United States should have his/her plane ticket and moving expenses paid for by the US government. Any foreigner who wants to come here and start up a business and create jobs should be met at the airport by a brass band and a limo.

I'm from immigrant stock, in the Scandanavian wave of the 1870s. What tribe you from? Unless you are native American, you came from immigrant stock too. What tribe you from? Why was it good for you and your family, but now somehow bad today? I know, a lot of it is illegal and current immigrants don't assimilate like those past generations. And those are problems. But immigration per se is a wonderful thing and we need to do much, much more of it. Swear to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic with all your blood and treasure and come home to papa.

Oh baby.

The Fed has shot its bullets. They can help if there was a threat of deflation or another financial crisis. But if you have ever heard the aphorism "the Fed can't push on a string" are seeing it now in real time. Chairman Bernanke said recently that central bankers can't solve all the world's problems. In other words there are limits to what they can do to help.

The problem and most of the solution rests with fiscal policy and that should have you worried sick. And just for good measure the Fed is now talking about climbing the Phillips curve again like in the 60s and 70s. That's stupid.

Hearts, stars, moons, clovers...and numbers to make you faint.

I almost choked on my coffee when I read the numbers in the beginning of this article. Don't eat or drink anything for the next 4 minutes.

You get welfare. I get legitimate government payments.

Read this short article on the largess of the British government. Nothing is means tested and all get get a slice. Hey why not?

He's not happy.

Here's a thought...why not sign the free trade agreements with South Korea, Panama and Columbia that have been laying dead in Washington and start trading with them and tell the Chinese to go hang? These are three countries we should want closer ties with and yet these deals go unsigned. Why?

Happy Retirement Rachel A.

Say what you want about Zenyatta. She is a great filly. But nothing will change the three-year-old campaign of Rachel Alexandra. After Secretariat, she is the best horse I have ever seen. Had her in the Preakness too at 9-5.

Gary Becker speaks...I listen.

The problem is, however, if you talk to the Chinese nowadays and they will tell you their system is superior to free markets. Just look at the facts on the ground they will tell you. So they don't need any advice from us is what they will say.
